As noted earlier, Alberto Del Rio is backstage for tonight’s Impact television tapings.
According to PWInsider, Del Rio has signed on full-time and will be receiving a massive push when he debuts tonight.
It was noted earlier this week that the deal between the two fell through when John Gaburick was demoted, but doesn’t appear to be the case. It’s being said that Impact officials and Del Rio came to terms within the last few days. The belief is officials reached out to Del Rio again following the losses of The Hardy Boyz and Drew Galloway. They then decided to have Del Rio debut this week to fill the void.
The company was apparently trying to keep his debut a secret, however Anthem’s Ed Nordholm was not in the loop on that one because he’s the one that leaked the news of Del Rio being backstage.
