WWE Smackdown Results – Feb 7, 2017

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opens up with a video package for the non-title main event with Randy Orton vs. WWE Champion John Cena.

– We go right to the ring and out comes SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan to a big home state pop and “yes!” chant.

Fans chant Bryan’s name and he says it’s good to be home. Bryan mentions how he was forced to retire the last time he was here. Bryan says the last year hasn’t exactly been easy but he wants to talk about being grateful. He’s grateful for being the SmackDown General Manager, for being able to come to Seattle and give fans the best show possible. Fans chant “yes!” again. Bryan is also grateful that soon, very soon, he’s going to be a dad. Bryan is interrupted by the music as The Miz makes his way out with Maryse.

Miz says a deliberate boo hoo. Miz says that Daniel Bryan had to retire a year ago in his best Droopy Dog impression. Miz tells Daniel to become a stay at home dad. Miz says he does not know why Daniel is here. He cannot wrestle any more. Miz says he does not know why Daniel is even in a WWE ring.

Daniel says not being able to wrestle never stopped you from getting in the ring.

Miz says Daniel does not respect him. Miz says Daniel cannot wrestle any more but he can. At Elimination Chamber… Miz gets flustered at the crowd and Daniel tries to get them to be louder than Miz. Miz asks Daniel if this is funny.

Baron Corbin’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

Baron tells Miz he should really learn when to shut up. You talked too much last week on commentary and you are talking too much now. Miz says when he speaks, people listen. He says they can work together and dominate. They can eliminate everyone and then at the end, let the best man win. Baron says he can take Miz out now so he does not have to hear Miz’ mouth when he wins the WWE Title. Miz wants to know if Daniel is going to let Baron talk to him like that.

Daniel half heartedly tells Baron not to punch Miz in the face because that would be terrible.

Dean Ambrose comes to the ring.

Dean says they look so cute together. Dean says he cannot take anything Miz says seriously when he is wearing that. Dean says that Baron is big and bad and he stole Dean’s motorcyle music. Dean says we will make some bad decisions in the Elimination Chamber. He says he will walk out of the Elimination Chamber as Intercontinental and WWE Champion. Dean says if you aren’t careful, you might not walk out of the chamber.

AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.

AJ wants to know if everyone is done playing tickle butt. Do the facts not matter? Miz has a brain, Corbin is going to win on Sunday? AJ says he has beaten everyone in the ring so he does not care about Miz’ scheme. He does not care that Baron is seven feet tall. AJ tells the crowd to stop cheering for him. AJ says all he cares about is being the WWE Champion and he will get his title back at the Elimination Chamber.

Miz says AJ will not get his title back. People come to Smackdown to see him.

Daniel calms everyone down. He says everyone thinks they are going to win the Elimination Chamber. Why not give the WWE Universe a little preview. Why not have a Fatal Four Way Match? Daniel says that match starts right now. We go to commercial.

AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz

All four men start off in the ring and Miz talks alliance with Corbin and Baron does not care. Styles kicks Corbin but Corbin blocks a kick and sends Styles to the floor. Corbin misses a clothesline but he catches Dean on a cross body attempt. Dean sends Corbin over the top rope to the floor. Ambrose with a forearm to Miz followed by punches and a clothesline to send him over the top rope to the floor.

Styles goes for a Styles Clash but Ambrose blocks it and Miz tries to pull Styles to the floor but it does not work. Ambrose knocks Styles off the ropes on a springboard move. Corbin sends Ambrose into the steps and then Corbin punches Miz. Corbin with a punch to Miz in the corner but Styles goes for a springboard move again and Corbin wtih a punch. Corbin with a splash to Miz and Ambrose with a forearm to Corbin. Corbin misses a shoulder in the corner and goes into the post. Miz with a DDT and he gets a near fall on Styles.

Miz tries for the Yes chant and then he does the Kicks of Yes to Styles and Ambrose. Miz misses a round kick and Ambrose with a rollup. Ambrose, Styles, and Miz go for rollups but no one can get the three count. Miz and Styles with clotheslines and they go down. Ambrose with a rollup on Corbin for a near fall. Corbin and Ambrose bump heads and they go down as we go to commercial.

We are back and Miz crotches Ambrose on the turnbuckles right before we came back. Styles climbs to join Miz for a double superplex but we get Corbin to turn it into a Tower of Doom and Corbin gets a near fall on Miz. Corbin gets a near fall on Styles. Corbin throws Ambrose to the floor and then he misses a charge into the corner when Miz moves. Miz with kicks in the corner. Miz with a running drop kick to Styles in the corner but Corbin counters Miz’ attempt on him with Deep Six for a near fall. Corbin is sent into the corner but he slides to the floor but he misses a clothesline. Styles with a Pele Kick and then he hits a flying forearm for a near fall. Styles sets for the Styles Clash on Miz but Miz counters and hits the flying knee and gets a near fall.

Ambrose with forearms to Miz followed by a clothesline. Ambrose with a swinging neck breaker on Styles. Ambrose with a forearm to Miz and then he hits a bulldog on Miz while hitting a clothesline on Styles. Ambrose with a suicide dive on Corbin. Styles misses a pescado and Ambrose sends Styles into the ringside barrier. Dean drops Miz on the ringside barrier and then he sends Corbin into the ring post and then he goes up and hits an elbow drop but Styles breaks up the cover.

Ambrose with a kick and Dean bounces off the ropes on his own but Styles moves and hits a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT. Miz breaks up the cover. Miz goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Styles with an arm drag. Styles with a forearm and he setps for the Phenomenal Forearm but Maryse pulls Miz to the floor. Corbin with End of Days to Styles for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

After the match, Corbin stands tall as we get hype for the Chamber match on Sunday. Corbin stands tall over AJ as his music plays.

– The announcers plug the WWE Network. Still to come, a dual contract signing with Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch and Mickie James. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Luke Harper says that man is most dangerous when he has nothing left to lose. What about a man who never had anything to begin with. Randy Orton, you stole his family. You are a liar. Luke says he has seen the snake in the grass for far too long. Luke says he knows how to fix it. Cut the head off the viper. It is just too easy. Luke says he wants to hurt him and he wants Randy to feel pain. At the Elimination Chamber, you will be eliminated.

– Tom Phillips interviews Nikki Bella. Natalya is also there. Tom says they are separted due to the intensity of the last few weeks. Tom asks if they can reconcile after Elimination Chamber.

Nikki says they were good friends, but everything that Nattie has said and done to her makes the Nattie she knew dead to her. Nattie says they were never friends. Nikki has followers. She has people who work hard to make Nikki look good. Nattie says after she wins at Elimination Chamber, they will have to work hard because there is not enough make up to cover what she does to her. Nattie says Nikki is not a good wrestler.

Nikki calls Nattie a liar and Nattie says Nikki cannot handle the truth. NIkki calls Nattie bitter and a crazy cat lady. Nikki says Natalya had respect around her, but when she started to crave the spotlight, he has coasted on her family name.

Natalya says that Nikki will be the bitter one. Nattie says that Nikki will be put on the shelf after the match. She will be with her pregnant sister realizing she won’t have any children.

Nikki says that Nattie is only good at wrestling. After she beats Nattie on Sunday, what is left for her?

Nattie says that since John is the champ, he won’t have a lot of spare time to care for her. Nattie says that John will be moving on to another woman. Nattie says if she wasn’t married John would be with her.

Apollo Crews vs. Dolph Ziggler

Crews avoids a clothesline and hits a drop kick. Crews runs Ziggler into the corner. Crews sends Ziggler into the ring post. Ziggler sends Crews into the ring post and then he hits a hesitation DDT. Ziggler sets for a super kick and Crews blocks it and gets the three count with a rollup.

Winner: Apollo Crews

After the match, Ziggler attacks Crews and then he gets a chair and hits Crews in the back with it.

Kalisto comes to the ring and he avoids a chair shot and then he hits a spin kick that knocks the chair out of Ziggler’s hands. Kalisto with a series of kicks and then he goes for Sliced Bread and Ziggler crotches Kalisto. Ziggler hits Kalisto in the back. Dolph hits Crews in the back with the chair one more time. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Dolph Ziggler is walking in the back. Daniel Bryan wants to know what Dolph is doing. Dolph says he is getting ready to leave. Daniel says Dolph cannot have a tantrum when he loses. Dolph says he can beat both of them. Daniel says that Dolph will be facing Kalisto and Apollo Crews in a handicap match.

In the Arena:

Renee Young is in the ring for the first Dual Contract signing.

Mickie James is the first one out and she is followed to the ring by WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Becky Lynch and Naomi are out next.

Renee mentions that four of the most elite athletes in the WWE in action on Sunday.

Mickie says there are only two elite athletes you need to talk about. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. Mickie says she has more experience than everyone in the ring combined. Mickie says she can take it from here.

Mickie says this entire Women’s Division was built on her obsession. Her obsession to be the absolute best. You are trying to erase her past. You are trying to take all of the credit for this Women’s Revolution. Mickie says she has waited for seven long years. That is seven years of rage that has built up inside her to come into a WWE ring to get the credit that she deserves. This Sunday, she will prove that not only did she create this Women’s Revolution but she created Becky. Without Mickie James, there would be no Becky Lynch. It will all come to an end on Sunday. The reinvention of Mickie James starts with the destruction of Becky Lynch.

Mickie signs the contract.

Becky says nobody is trying to erase her accomplishments. She respected Mickie until she joined forces with that little troll to cost her the title. You can talk about seven years of rage, but when it got tough, you walked away. Becky says when it gets tough, she walks through it. On Sunday, she will walk through Mickie. Becky says she is going to slap Mickie back into the past.

Becky signs the contract.

Alexa says that Becky is all class and it is low. Alexa points out that Mickie beat Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania 22. Alexa says all that runs through Becky’s veins is cheap toxic orange hair dye. You can give excuse after excuse as to why you don’t have the title. As long as the title is on her shoulder, this is her division.

Alexa signs the contract and then she says she forgot about Naomi.

Naomi tells Alexa to stop with the foolishness. Naomi reminds Alexa that she pinned her twice. You keep on underestimating her and she will keep snatching her ball. Sunday may be the Elimination Chamber, but we are less than two months away from Wrestlemania. Naomi points out that it is in her home town and there is no way anyone takes away her dream of sliding down that ramp as the Smackdown Women’s Champ. She tells Lexie to get ready.

Naomi signs the contract.

She tells Alexa to get ready to feel the glow and Naomi with a round kick. All four women battle in the ring. Naomi is the last one left in the ring and Naomi hits a plancha onto Alexa and Mickie.

Mickie and Alexa are sent back into the ring but they escape before Becky and Naomi can do anything. Back to commercial.

American Alpha, Breezango, Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Usos, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains

Back from the break and out come SmackDown Tag Team Champions Chad Gable and Jason Jordan while the other teams wait in the ring. Jimmy Uso starts off with Gable. Uso argues with Aiden English as he comes in. Gable rolls him up for a close 2 count. Gable goes at it with English now. English turns it around and chokes Gable on the ropes as the referee warns him.

English keeps control but wastes time and shows off, missing a senton. Gable turns it around and tags Jordan in. They unload on English and hit dropkicks. Simon Gotch runs in but they dropkick him too. Tyler Breeze tags himself in. The champs have words with him. The Vaudevillains drop Alpha from behind. Breeze and Fandango assist American Alpha but they have more words as we go to commercial with fans chanting for Rhyno.

We are back and the Usos work over Slater and English tags back in and he kicks Slater and ocnnects with a knee to the ribs. Viktor tags in and he gets a near fall. Viktor with a reverse chin lock. Slater with punches and a kick. Viktor keeps Slater from making the tag and he runs Slater into the corner. Konnor tags in and he hits a splash. Viktor with a knee to Slater. Viktor and English tag each other in and they argue. Viktor tags back in and they push each other. Viktor stops Slater from making the tag. Slater kicks Viktor away and rhyno tags in and he connects with a clothesline and shoulder. Viktor with an Irish whip but Rhyno with a clothesline out of the corner and follows with a shoulder in the corner. Rhyno with a spinebuster and everyone gets in the ring.

The Usos take care of Breeze and Fandango. Gable and Jordan send the Usos to the floor. Gable and Jordan with suplexes to English and Gotch. Viktor with a flying Euroepan uppercut to Jordan. Rhyno goes into the ring and he hits a GORE on Konnor. Viktor with a knee off the turnbuckles for the three count.

Winners: The Usos, The Ascension and The Vaudevillains

– Back from commercial and we have a video package for the Elimination Chamber match.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Champion John Cena for tonight’s non-title main event. Greg Hamilton makes the introduction. Randy Orton is out next with Bray Wyatt. We go to commercial.

Cena shows some foot work as he avoids Orton when he wants to lock up. They lock up and Orton with a side head lock. Cena with a shoulder tackle and he poses. Cena with a side head lock. Orton with a forearm but Cena with a shoulder tackle. Orton with a kick when he escapes an Attitude Adjustment set up. Orton chokes Cena in the ropes and then Orton stomps on the ankle. Orton continues with the Garvin Stomp. Orton gets a near fall.

Orton returns to the reverse chin lock. Orton kicks Cena and Cena rolls to the floor in front of Wyatt. Orton goes to the floor and he punches Cena in the face. Orton Irish whips Cena into the ring steps and Wyatt gets up as we go to commercial.

We are back and Orton kicks Cena when he goes for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Orton has an RKO blocked and Cena has an Attitude Adjustment blocked. Orton gets a near fall. Orton with a kick to the ribs and he sets for the IEDDT but Cena gets into the ring and he sends Orton over the top rope with a back body drop. Cena sends Orton into the ring steps. Cena picks up Orton and walks to the announce table and he tries for an Attitude Adjustment through the announce table but Orton escapes and he hits a back drop driver onto the announce table.

Orton sends Cena back into the ring and then they exchange punches and kicks. Cena with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment but Orton kicks out and the move forces Wyatt out of his chair. Cena goes up top but Orton stops Cena and hits a Super IEDDT. Orton looks around and then he twists to the mat. Orton with an RKO but Cena kicks out. Orton goes for another RKO but Cena blocks it and Orton holds on to the ropes and the referee gets knocked down.

Cena with a drop toe hold into the STF and Orton taps but there is no referee so it does not count. Cena releases the hold and Wyatt attacks Cena. Orton joins in the two-on-one attack. Wyatt has Cena set in Sister Abigail for the assist to Orton but Cena with a clothesline. Wyatt hits Sister Abigail on Cena.

Luke Harper comes to the ring and he stares down Wyatt. Wyatt tells Harper to leave and Harper starts to go out of the ring but it is a tease for the discus clothesline. Orton returns to the ring and he goes for the RKO but Harper pushes him away and Cena with an Attitude Adjustment for the three count.

Winner: John Cena

After the match, Cena looks on at the other Superstars outside of the ring. Cena grabs his title and stands tall as we go to replays. SmackDown goes off the air with Cena celebrating as we get more hype for the Elimination Chamber on Sunday.
