We begin this week’s show with a look at last week’s match between Rich Swann and Neville.
We are told that Rich Swann is not medically cleared to compete tonight. TJ Perkins will face Neville tonight in the main event.
Tajiiri vs. Sean Maluta
They lock up and Tajiri with a take down and wrist lock. Maluta with knees and a side head lock. Tajiri blocks a hip toss and Tajiiri with kicks but Maluta with a thrust to the chest followed by a head butt. Tajiri with a kick to the leg and then he tries to take Maluta down but Maluta with forearms. Maluta with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Tajiri with a tarantula. Tajiri with a round kick to the ribs and then to the temple. Tajiri with another kick to the head.
Tajiri with a handspring back elbow followed by a back heel kick and the Buzzsaw kick for the three count.
Winner: Tajiiri
After the match, Brian Kendrick’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage. He says he wants to be the first to welcome Tajiiri back and to 205 Live. He says that Tajiiri has not lost a step. He is better now than when they tore it up on Smackdown. Kendrick says that Tajiri is a fellow pioneer of the Cruiserweight Division. Who knows what heights this division will go to. First we need to get rid of the trash. Once they are done cutting the crust off the turkey sandwich, it will be so good.
Kendrick offers his hand to Tajiri and Tajiri shakes it and Tajiri spits green mist in Kendrick’s face.
Neville walks in the back and he is asked about facing TJ Perkins.
Neville says that Perkins is a former champion and he never would have been champion if he was originally part of the division. People like and respect TJ, but no one cares about him. He has been discriminated against since he set foot in this country. He is sick of hearing about TJ’s hardships and struggles. What about his hardships and struggles? He has never been taken seriously in this country. It is because of how he talks and how he looks. When the system is broken, you create your own system. He does not care what anyone outside of England things about him. Tonight, TJ Perkins, your fifteen minutes of fame is over. There can only be one King of the Cruiserweights.
We take a look at Tony Nese. He says he is what everyone looks up to and aspires to be. Everybody has their eyes on him because he is the premier athlete. He says the only one he can respect is himself. The WWE was wrong to turn him away in the past. When he looks in the mirror he sees a premier athlete. He does not know why he has to shake his opponent’s hand at the start of the match. He is speed and strength and he is skills. Tony says he is good at everything.
He says he feels like he is the gladiator in the arena. His goal is to take everyone who ever said no to him and shove it down their throats. He will prove he is the greatest Cruiserweight, Superstar, and Champion.
Jack Gallagher vs. Tony Nese (with Drew Gulak)
Nese with a wrist lock and Gallagher tries to get the leverage to reverse. Gallagher with a take down and he gets a near fall. Nese with a head scissors and Gallagher escapes with a headstand and he escapes. Gallagher with a near fall. Gallagher with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Gallagher with a side head lock. Nese backs Gallagher into the corner. Nese wtih a shot to the face and then he kicks Gallagher. Nese with an Irish whip and Gallagher with a headstand on the turnbuckles and he floats over and takes Nese down with a head scissors and follows with a drop kick.
Nese goes to the floor and Daivari clips Gallagher and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Jack Gallagher (by disqualification)
After the match, Daivari punches and kicks Gallagher and he puts Jack in the tree of woe. Daivari wtih kicks and a drop kick. Daivari yells at Gallagher as referees make their way to the ring and point to the ramp for Daivari to leave.
Cedric Alexander tells Alicia that he knows that she did not mean for him to lose. Alicia understands and she says it is her fault. Cedric tells Alicia that she needs to be more careful.
We go to commercial.
Noam Dar vs. Mustafa Ali
They lock up and Ali backs Dar into the corner. Dar with a take down but Ali with a hammer lock. Dar backs Ali into the corner and Dar with an elbow. Ali with a head scissors and a spinning heel kick for a near fall. They go to the floor and Ali with a forearm. Dar is sent back into the ring and he hits a drop kick to the temple when Ali gets back into the ring. Dar with an arm wringer and he stomps on the arm. Dar continues to work on the arm.
Dar with a snap mare and arm bar. Dar with an arm bar submission but Ali with punches. Ali with an arm drag and Dar with an arm drag. Ali with a rollup for a near fall. Ali goes for a sunset flip but Dar drops down and gets a near fall. Ali floats over and he hits a tornado DDT. Ali with back elbows and an Irish whip. Dar misses a splash into the corner and Ali with an enzuigiri and a rolling neck breaker for a near fall.
Ali waits for Dar to get up and Dar moves. Ali comes off the turnbuckles and Dar applies a Fujiwara arm bar. Ali tries to get to the ropes but Dar with shots to the arm and Ali with a crucifix for a near fall. Ali with a kick as Dar charges into the corner. Ali goes up top for an inward 450 splash and the three count.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
After the match, Noam Dar is asked about how things are going to be for him in 2017. He says he just needs lady luck next to him. He says that Cedric might not be man enough for Alicia Fox and she is always welcome in his corner.
We have a video package for Akira Tozawa. Cesaro says he is one of the toughest in the ring. He has an incredible fighting spirit and he follows the Japanese tradition. He has a well developed striking game and his kicks are lethal. He says he has been on the receiving end of the German suplex. Tozawa never gives up and he has a lot of fire.
We go to commercial.
Tom Phillips is with TJ Perkins in the back. He asks TJ why did he challenge the King of the Cruiserweights. He says that Neville is dominant in the ring, but he is always complaining about people saying he is boring and ugly. TJ says that Neville is a bully and sometimes you have to stand up to a bully and kick him in the face.
Neville vs. TJ Perkins
They lock up and Neville backs Perkins into the corner. Neville with a clean break and Perkins does not know what to think of that. They lock up again and Neville with a wrist lock and Perkins with an arm wringer. They lock up and Perkins with a wrist lock and Neville with a reversal. Perkins with a head scissors. Perkins keeps Neville in the head scissors when Neville tries to escape. Neville with a kick and side head lock. Neville with a shoulder tackle and Neville flips over Perkins. Perkins with a back heel kick and a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow. Perkins sends Neville to the floor with a head scissors.
Neville stomps on the hand when Perkins gets back into the ring. Neville with more kicks and he slams Perkins. Neville goes up top and he hits a missile drop kick. Neville gets a near fall. Neville with a reverse chin lock. Neville gets a near fall and then he returns to the reverse chin lock. Perkins punches Neville and he escapes a belly-to-back suplex attempt and hits a jumping side kick. Neville with an elbow and he goes to the middle turnbuckle for a Phoenix Splash but Perkins moves out of the way.
Perkins with strikes to Neville and a drop kick. Neville with an Irish whip and Perkins floats over and hits a leaping neck breaker. Neville goes to the floor and Perkins hits a corkscrew pescado. Perkins goes up top and he hits a cross body for a near fall. Neville sets for the gorilla superplex but Perkins blocks it and he connects with a forearm. Perkins with a double jump Frankensteiner for a near fall. Perkins goes for the Detonation Kick but Neville blocks it. Neville with a back heel kick but Perkins with a round kick and a springboard drop kick. Neville blocks the rolling knee bar attempt and Neville holds on and hits delayed German suplex for a near fall.
Perkins with a round kick and Perkins goes to the apron but he cannot capitalize immediately. Perkins makes it up top but Neville crotches Perkins on the turnbuckles. Perkins pushes Neville off the turnbuckles and Neville punches Perkins. Neville with an enzuigiri and Perkins it out on the turnbuckles. Neville with a superplex and he gets the three count.
Winner: Neville
