WWE 205 Live Results – Jan 17, 2017

We begin with a look at the history between Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari

We are in Memphis, Tennessee and your announcers are Corey Graves, Austin Aries, and Mauro Ranallo.

Drew Gulak vs. Cedric Alexander

Alicia Fox follows Cedric to the ring because she is a bit delusional.  Cedric wants nothing to do with her.  Noam Dar comes out to calm Alicia down.  Alicia says that Cedric is being mean.  Dar gets on the apron and Alexander with a forearm.  Gulak hits Alexander from behind.

Dar and Gulak work over Alexander while Alicia screams.  Dar is sent to the floor and Alexander kicks Gulak to the floor.  Alexander with a suicide dive onto Dar and Gulak.   Alexander kicks Dar and Gulak clips Alexander.

Meanwhile, Alicia marches around and continues to scream.

Dar and Alicia leave and the officials check on Alexander.

Alexander is in the corner and he says he wants the match to start.  The referee calls for the bell.

Gulak charges into the corner and Alexander with a kick and then he punches Gulak.  Alexander with a drop kick but Alexander holds his knee.  Gulak misses a charge into the corner and Alexander with an enzuigiri.  Alexander tries to suplex Gulak to the floor but Gulak blocks it and he punches Alexander.  Gulak with a dragon screw leg whip in the ropes.  Gulak kicks Alexander in the leg and focuses on the knee as he gets a near fall.

Gulak with an ankle lock and he drives the knee into the mat.  Gulak with an atomic drop to the knee.  Alexander wtih punches and Gulak with another atomic drop to the knee and Gulak gets a near fall.  Gulak stands on the injured knee.  Alexander with kicks.  Gulak tries to add more damage to the leg but Alexander with kicks and a head scissors.  Alexander back body drops Gulak over the top rope to the floor.

Alexander with clotheslines and chops.  Gulak with a shot to the leg and he runs into a back elbow.  Cedric with a split legged moonsault for a near fall.  Cedric sets for the Lumbar Check but Gulak blocks it.  Gulak with elbows but Alexander with a forearm.  Alexander goes for Lumbar Check but he cannot get Gulak up.  Gulak clips Cedric’s good leg and Gulak with a Saito suplex and bridge for the three count.

Winner:  Drew Gulak

We see Noam Dar and Alicia Fox in the back.  Noam says to look at what he did for her.  Alicia slaps him and leaves.

We have a video package for Rich Swann and Neville.

Neville says it is not hard to be impressed by Swann.  His only bone of contention is that Swann is not on his level.  They had a good relationship in Japan.  Swann says he looked up to Neville.  He thought Neville had respect and integrity.  Neville says he took Swann under his wings.  Neville talks about seeing how much success Swann got in the WWE.  That was something he could not accept.

Neville says this is about him.  Swann says he feels betrayed.  Neville says as champion you should accept it.  Swann says he does not know what happened to Neville.  When he first came to the WWE, he was a hero.  Neville says there are no heroes.

Swann says Neville has humiliated him, beaten him down.  He will show Neville at Royal Rumble.  You claim to be a king, but you will stand in there with the true champion.

Tony Nese is in the back and he is asked about his match against Mustafa Ali.  Tony says some would have to train differently for a man like Ali.  Tony Nese says a premier athlete is already stronger, faster, and better.  Tony says most cannot understand that.  That is why there are thousands in the arena and only one premier athlete.

Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese

Ali with a hammer lock and snap mare into a rollup for a near fall.  Ali with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Ali gets a near fall.  They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Ali goes to the ropes and then hits a head scissors and kips up.  Ali blocks a kick and Ali with a spinning heel kick for a near fall.  Nese goes into the corner to stop Ali.  Ali blocks a punch and then he is sent to the apron.  Nese trips up Ali on the turnbuckles and Nese rakes the eyes across the top rope.  Nese kicks Ali into a fireman’s carry and then he hits a Gutbuster for a near fall.  Nese with a body scissors.

Ali with elbows to get out of the hold.  Nese with a waist lock.  Ali with elbows but Nese holds on and adds more pressure.  Nese trips Ali as he comes off the ropes.  Nese with a double jump moonsault that misses when Ali goes to the floor.  Ali gets back into the ring as he flips over Nese.  Ali with a clothesline and back elbow.  Nese with an Irish whip but Ali goes to the apron and hits an enzuigiri.  Ali with a rolling neck breaker and he gets a near fall.  Nese sends Ali into the turnbuckles but Ali flips over Nese and then he hits a tornado DDT.  Ali gets a near fall.

Ali with a front face lock but Nese runs Ali into the turnbuckles.  Ali floats over and Nese with a German suplex into the turnuckles.  Nese pulls down the knee pad and he hits a running knee to the head and gets the three count.

Winner:  Tony Nese

We have a video package for Akira Tozawa hosted by Apollo Crews.  He talks about Tozawa’s charisma.  He says to watch out for the strikes because they hurt.  He comes out with the fire and passion.  He has had some tough competition in the past, but he is going to look forward to who is next for him.

Ariya Daivari vs. Jack Gallagher in an I Forfeit Match

They lock up and Daivari misses a punch and Gallagher with a European uppercut.  Daivari with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Gallagher trips Daivari and then he goes for the surfboard.  Gallagher drives the knees into the mat.  Daivari refuses to forfeit.  Gallagher with a headstand on the Irish whip.  Gallagher flips Daivari around the ring.  Gallagher grabs the umbrella but Daivari kicks him and then Daivari breaks the umbrella and throws it up the ramp.

Daivari punches Gallagher but Gallagher with punches on a cross body.  They go to the apron and Daivari kicks him.  Daivari with a side slam onto the apron and Gallagher is asked if he wants to forfeit and he says no.  Daivari chokes Gallagher in the ropes and Gallagher refuses to forfeit.  They go to the floor and Daivari with a neck breaker.  Daivari tells Gallagher he needs to quit like the losers in this building.

Daivari sends Gallagher into the ringside barrier.  Daivari sends Gallagher into the other side of the ringside barrier.  Daivari slams Gallagher’s head into the apron and then he slams him on the floor.  Daivari says the people don’t care about you so quit, but Jack refuses.  Gallagher is sent back into the ring and Daivari kicks Gallagher.  Daivari rakes the face and then he kicks Gallagher and puts his knee across Gallagher’s nose.

Gallagher with forearms but Daivari with a knee.  Daivari goes to the floor and he walks around the ring before applying a bow and arrow on the ring post.  Gallagher with punches.  Daivari with punches to Gallagher.  Daivari sends Gallagher to the floor and Daivari follows.  Daivari gets his headgear and he puts it over Gallagher’s face and punches him.  Daivari sends Gallagher into the announce table then back into the ring.  Daivari ties up Gallagher and hits a series of short arm clothesline.  Gallagher’s arms are tied up behind his back.  Daivari tells him to quit.  Daivari tells Gallagher to say I Forfeit and Gallagher calls him a scoundrel.  Daivari with punches but Gallagher with head butts that send Daivari to the floor.

Gallagher esapes from his bind and he goes under the ring and he found a new umbrella.  Daivari kicks Gallagher and then he sends him into the matrix board.  Daivari with a short arm clothesline.  Gallagher does not give up.  Gallagher blocks a power bomb and he catapults Daivari into the matrix board.  Gallagher hits Daivari with the umbrella.  Gallagher hits him in the back when Daviari does not forfeit.  Gallagher with another umbrella shot.

Daivari gets back to the ring and he hits Gallagher with a double sledge and Gallagher goes to the floor.  Gallagher with a head butt and he warns the announcers to move.  Daivari is sent over the announce table.  Gallagher gets on the announce table, but Daivari sweeps the leg.  Gallagher with a back body drop.  Gallagher with a running drop kick to Daivari against the ringside barrier.  Gallagher sends Daivari back into the ring and he pulls out another umbrella.

Gallagher says he will do the courtesy of forfeiting the match or he can thrash him within an inch of his life.

Daivari says okay.  Daivari hits Gallagher in the throat with the mic and then Daivari applies a Cobra Stretch.  Gallagher refuses to give up and he hits Daivari with the umbrella and then he applies a crossface chicken wing using the umbrella.

Daivari forfeits.

Winner:  Jack Gallagher
