Jerry Lawler On His WWE Status, “I Was Never Not Signed To The WWE”

The latest edition of Bill Apter’s podcast “Is Wrestling Fixed?” was released earlier this morning. It features exclusive interviews with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler.

Some of Lawler’s comments about his current WWE contract have been transcribed below.

JL: I was never not signed to the WWE. My old contract came up for renewal and I just signed another one year contract like I’ve bee doing for… I dunno… the last twenty something years now? At one time I had three year contracts, then two years and then for the past couple, maybe 7-8 years, it’s just been one year. They usually just have me sign a one year contract. So I was never not under contract to WWE.
