As previously reported, Drew Galloway returned from injury at Saturday’s Impact Wrestling television tapings in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios to defeat Moose to become the new Impact Grand Champion.
It was speculated at that time that Galloway may have re-signed with the company, as his contract is set to expire soon and it wouldn’t make much sense to put the title on someone who may or may not be leaving.
In an update to Galloway’s status with TNA, we can now confirm that he has not signed a new deal with the company. One of the hold ups could be that TNA wants exclusive rights to Galloway’s outside bookings. TNA has been trying to do the same with The Hardys, who’s contracts are also set to expire soon.
