Zack Ryder Out of Action for Six Months, No Slammy Awards This Year

– Zack Ryder recently had reconstructive knee surgery after he suffered an injury this past week on SmackDown Live. Surgery was said to have gone well, and he is expected to be out of action for about six months.

He made the following remarks regarding his return:

I’ve been through things way worse than knee surgery. I’ll be back…and better than ever.

– As of this writing, there are currently no plans to have the Slammy Awards this year.

While it’s unknown exactly why the company has no plans to bring back the special, things could always change at last minute and the company could broadcast a show on the WWE Network. However, it’s not likely that it will happen.
