Shinsuke Nakamura won the WWE NXT Championship after beating Samoa Joe at Saturday’s WWE NXT live event at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan.
The outcome was expected as Samoa Joe went over Nakamura at WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto last month in a shock finish that was used to set the table for Nakamura to regain the title in his home country. WWE cameras were filming and footage will be included on the WWE Network. The new WWE NXT Champion tweeted this:

NXT has a lot of Japanese talent that were showcased on the card, including WWE NXT Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Nia Jax, DIY vs. Akira Tozawa and Tajiri and Hideo Itami making a live appearance.
WWE NXT will now head to Australia for a tour where WWE cameras are expected to film. Nakamura is expected to defend the title against Joe on those shows and will likely headline WWE NXT TakeOver: San Antonio next year.
