After recently winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, manager Paul Ellering indicated at tonight's NXT tapings that The AoP would face the winners of The Revival vs. DIY. That match was taped for late December and saw DIY retain in their rematch from the Takeover: Toronto event.
As noted earlier, Bobby Roode earned a shot at NXT Champion Samoa Joe, apparently for Takeover in January. That match may be changed to Roode vs. Shinsuke Nakamura as Nakamura has a title shot this weekend in Osaka, Japan. The AoP vs. DIY could also see a change as TM-61 is scheduled to receive a NXT Tag Team Title shot on December 13th in Sydney, Australia.
No word yet on who NXT Women's Champion Asuka will face at Takeover but a feud with Ember Moon has been expected. There was no sign of Ember vs. Asuka at tonight's tapings but Asuka was called out by Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Asuka cut a promo on tonight's NXT episode about how there is no competition left, seen below:
