As seen at last week’s Survivor Series event, Bill Goldberg squashed Brock Lesnar in 1 minute and 25 seconds. Prior to Bill signing a contract for extended dates with the company, Lesnar was planned to win the bout.
Regarding the original finish for the match before Goldberg signed a new contract, one idea pitched was to present it like a fight, where the announcers would treat it like one, and the finish would be much like something you would see in an MMA fight.
Speaking of Lesnar and Goldberg, the reason the two are being put into the Royal Rumble match is to avoid having the rematch until WrestleMania 33.
