Legendary Tag Team Reportedly Confirmed For Broken Hardy’s ‘Tag Team Apocalypto’ Match

Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson of the classic ’80s and ’90s tag team the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express will be just one of the duos featured in the upcoming Tag Team Apocalypto match. The highly anticipated bout will be the main event of an entire episode of TNA Impact Wrestling being filmed on a closed set at the Hardy Compound, set to air later this year.

The Express are one of the most legendary tag teams of the ’80s, winning numerous titles across many promotions, including NWA, Mid-South, Mid Atlantic and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. For the record, Morton and Gibson are 60 and 58, respectively.

Back in October, TNA’s own Jeremy Borash told former announcer Taz that the upcoming Total Nonstop Deletion special was going to be so highly anticipated, that there would be “no less than a dozen lawsuits when wrestlers openly defy their contracts” to come work the Tag Team Apocalpyto match. Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero have openly called out both the Young Bucks (current IWGP, ROH and PWG tag team champions), the New Day (current WWE tag team champions), as well as several other well known duos for the event.
