As noted, rumors surfaced online about TNA selling thier tape library to WWE, while the base company would be sold off to Billy Corgan and re-branded. Dixie Carter took to her Twitter account to deny those reports. She tweeted:
BREAKING NEWS: There is NO Breaking News EXCEPT that #BoundForGlory was incredible & the fallout tomorrow on @IMPACTWrestling will be epic!— Dixie Carter (@TNADixie) October 5, 2016
TNA employee Bob Ryder took to Twitter as well to comment:
Guess again “reliable sources”. This “scoop” isn’t any more true than the “cancelled flights” one was. #TNATNATNA— Bob Ryder (@brydertna) October 5, 2016
– As noted, due to Hurricane Matthew approaching the Florida coast, WWE has postponed their weekend live events in Crystal City and Ft. Pierce until later this month. Speaking of TNA, which is taping television at Universal Studios in Orlando this week, Carter noted that the shows will continue as planned as long as Universal Studios stays open. She tweeted:
As long as @unistudios is OPEN @IMPACTWRESTLING tapings are ON this week. Great TV planned Wed-Sat nights. Come be a part of it!— Dixie Carter (@TNADixie) October 5, 2016
The storm has affected the TNA Impact Wrestling tapings as it was announced at tonight’s tapings that Thursday’s tapings will now begin at 1pm and Friday’s taping has been canceled altogether. Saturday will now have two tapings – one at 1pm and the other at 7pm.
