– Ethan Carter III may have finally signed his new TNA deal. The company had wanted him to sign one of their new contracts that would allow them to book his indie dates. EC3 has reportedly told indie promoters he works with that they now have to go through the TNA office, indicating that the new deal has been signed. Carter will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley at the October 2nd Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
– While Billy Corgan is now running TNA, the creative is still largely being done by John Gaburick with Matt Conway and Dave Lagana as writers. Matt Hardy is the one booking what he and Jeff Hardy are currently doing.
– We noted earlier this summer that Shelton Benjamin’s WWE return was nixed due to a torn rotator cuff that was discovered. Benjamin revealed on Twitter that he underwent surgery on Wednesday. He tweeted:
Surgery complete. Back home. Still loopy. Happy the healing process in finally underway.
